Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Does it meet the plus or minus .1 inch length of OEM barrel to meet USPSA production standards? It appears a little long in the pic.
  2. I have tried both the Storm Lake and the KKM barrels in my 9Pro and 9L. The Storm Lake was not an improvement in accuracy on either frame. The KKM made my L shoot the lights out, so that is where it stays. The stock barrel in my Pro shoots very well. I am shooting 124g Mt Gold JHP over 4.1 of Universal.
  3. I also use Universal for my 9mm loads and love it. I have shot both the MG 121 IFP and the MG JHP 124. I have settled on the 124 JHP as my standard load. I load it with 4.3 g of Universal and an OAL of 1.10. This give me a PF of 134 in a full size M&P (4.25 inch barrel) and a PF of 136 in the M&P Pro (5" barrel). For your info, 4.3 of Universal over the MG 121 IFP in the full size M&P gave me a PF of 132. No problems with smoke, recoil, steel, etc.
  4. I have shot 10 groups of 5 rounds thru my 9L, which now has over 2500 rounds thru it. The groups were fired off a sandbag at 15 yards. I measured the best 4 out of 5 shots, center to center, to come up with a group size. The average of the 10 groups was 1.23", with the best a .69" and the worst a 2.64" group. I am sure that someone with younger eyes (super senior next year), could do better. The load was a Montana Gold 121 IFP over Universal. I have found that my M&P45 is more accurate than my full sized M&P9, and the 9L is a little more accurate than the M&P45. All of them are more accurate than I am. I would post some pdf's of a couple of the groups, if I could figure out how!!
  5. Blade Tech Kydex belt holster works very well. I also think Comp-Tac now has a holster ready for the 9L/9Pro. Ben
