Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. With SNS 160g coated and 3.5g WST. OAL 1.200
  2. Joe4d you had me at the Buick grand national. Tough choice there..... I do like Local Gun Shops that take care of customers.
  3. Though this is a Revolver Forum. Fort Larned Kansas. My favorite National Historical Site in Kansas. It was a living history museum when I live there. Fort Riley is #2. I imagine at some point revolvers were involved.
  4. Very late 1990 to 1993. I was an Army Recruiter during that period.
  5. I've been looking for some Federal #100 SPP. Saw Miwall in this thread and bought what I needed. Mine came UPS. I had the opportunity to change the delivery location to a local UPS Store. Might have to do that next time. Thanks for the lead on primers! I like the Kansas talk - Lived in Dodge City for 3 years.
  6. I'm looking for feedback on the Blue Bullet 160G round nose. Will be shot from a SW627, TK 38 Short Colt Brass, TK Moon Clips. (yeah - I drank the kool-aid) How well do they feed/load into the cylinder? Does the shape of the bullet (Ogive) cause any issues? I've used SNS Casting for years. Saw the Blue Bullet on another post.
  7. I take some of the bell out with the seating die, then finish with the FCD. The FCD gave me better results to fine tune the bullet. They drop in my 627 mounted on a TK moon clip perfectly.
  8. When I started shooting Revo (SW686) a few years ago I went with Lee 3 die set for 38SC (Kempfs Gun Shop in Michigan City) Lee 9mm Factory Crimp Die TK Moon clips Starline Brass 3.3g WST, 158g Berrys, Fed SPP, 1.200 OAL 128-130 PF Now shooting a SW627 PC Same Dies TK Moon Clips Same Starline Brass 3.5g WST, 160g SNS Casting Polymer Coated, Fed SPP , 1.200 OAL. Made 137PF at Area 4 this year. Press is a Hornady LnL AP
  9. Contacted Check Mate Industries. They make the Tac Mags for Kimber and I'll have mag springs soon!
  10. Looking for magazine springs that fit. I've tried ISMI and Wolfe. Both springs will not allow more than 7 rounds to be loaded. Anyone have a suggestion? I'd rather not cut one down but it is an option. Brownells tried to help but no luck.
  11. I've looked at both CC and Arredondo. No doubt the CCs would be a solid choice. My XD9 Tactical has the best trigger around thanks to RIIID. The CC capacity is 23? I'll be using a removable magwell from Springer Precision. Will the CC mgs work with their Unlimited Classic magwell?
