  1. This match was a ton of fun!!! The AMU's hard work and effort was plainly visible. Sincere thanks to all those involved!! My best shooting during the match came on Stage 10..... with the SAW!! I'm thinking of changing divisions..........
  2. My suggestions is to forget muffs for the time being and go to Home Depot and get him a few pair of the 3M safety earplugs. Granted they're a pain to take in and out during the course of a match, but after all...he's young enough he won't grouse about the inconvenience. As for protection, they're great.... tethered together.......... and CHEAP!!. NO hindrance when mounting a long gun what so ever. Be sure to teach him how to place the plug in his ear while pulling the top of his ear upwards with his free hand...yielding a much better seat
  3. I was in the same boat as you. Ended up switching to a Manfrotto 410 Junior Geared Head. The 410 makes precise adjustments(for Milling purposes) far easier than my pistol grip head. Check out Cameraland or B&H Photo. They run about $270ish new
  4. If you're still looking for glass, check out the "demo" program that Cameraland.com offers. I just bought (my second) Vortex Viper PST FFP 6-24 from them. Even though the scope was listed as a Demo...it was brand spanking new when it showed up. $799 for everything This scope is perfectly capable of being used at 1000 yds
  5. N320!!!.... Cleaner than Clays and a more useful spread than N310. I've loaded it exclusively for SS the last 7 years and couldn't be happier. Works great in my shorter barreled 1911's as well.
  6. Now that you have both presses............ DON'T sell the one you think you can now live without. Trust me, you'll only end up kicking yourself in the a** at a later date for selling the press!!
  7. Save your money on the powder check system..... I mean the hopper's right in front of your face.. Take the money you saved from not buying the powder check system and buy at least 7 more primer pickup tubes
  8. LM, XF & D for me, but you can get by without the Diffuser no problem by shooting the gun unchoked. 90% of the time, I run LM.
  9. Before you fall in love with which ever can tickles your fancy the most, do yourself a favor and check out Thunderbeast Arms Corporation. Thunderbeast can tell you which of their cans will best compliment your platform in what you want to do with it. https://thunderbeastarms.com/
  10. I have V3 and couldn't be happier ! the setup/teardown features alone make this chrono well worth the $$. Those of you questioning the accuracy of the Magneto Speed....... regardless of what chrono you've used in the past...do you clock a load only ONCE ??? Of course you don't, nobody who's really serous about numbers doesn't either. You clock a load with the Magneto Speed 2-3 times you've got a very good average of what the true numbers are..... I love mine!
  11. I have a MCS T stock with mini-chassis and Badger bottom metal and have been very pleased with the performance. This purchase has probably been the only smart decision I've made when buying gun parts...
  12. Go to..... www.tarheel3gun.com. Then click on the "click here" link for the freedom munitions memorial match listing
