Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. If I recall correctly it's priced around $350.00. I actually already paid S&W for my future pistol but the receipt is not handy right now.
  2. Alfie, I was finally able to run 10 loads of 4.0g N320 at 1.130" over the chrono tonight. I aveaged 135.6 PF. This was out of a M&P40 PRO. Hope this helps. Aaron Thanks!
  3. How much powder are you using? I just started using the same bullets and powder and I'm curious what you ended up with? 4.0g of N320 at 1.130" I will probably run 10 over the chrono this weekend. Could you post or PM your chrono data? I'm running 4.2 grains with an average of 130 pf out of my 5". This loads makes nearly 140 pf out of my standard length.
  4. How much powder are you using? I just started using the same bullets and powder and I'm curious what you ended up with?
  5. Thanks for all the info guys. I guess it just is what it is and I shouldn't be too concerned. In the end I'm only addiing one more 1/10th of a grain of powder. Once I get used to shooting the longer slide it really won't matter.
  6. I've run two different recipes through two of my 4-1/4" M&P40's and my 5" M&P40 and I get consistently faster chronograph speeds out of the short barrel pistols. One 4-1/4" has a Storm Lake barrel and one has the factory barrel, the 5" pistol has the factory barrel. One recipe used 3.8 grains of Titegroup behind a 180 grain jacketed bullet, the other used 4.2 grains of VV N320 behind a 180 grain jacketed bullet. Both 4-1/4" guns shot similar velocities and both were noticeable faster then the 5". Specifically, the shorter barrel pistols yielded a power factor of about 140 - 145, whereas the longer barrel pistol only nets me a power factor of 132-137. Is there any reason for me to see this result? I expected the longer barrel to produce faster velocities. Is it the burn rate of the powders that is effecting this?
  7. Welcome. What clubs have/do you shoot at? I'm in Orange and shoot over at DCPA, Old Bridge, NJ, and others in New England.
  8. Perfect!!! Time to make room in the safe!
  9. No software. On the Motorola's, you have the option for 2 independant e-mail accounts, one Gmail, the other comes as "Company Email", "MS Email" or some other such app. Open that app, from your phone and go to settings. There are at least four settings you need to edit... Domain\Username: The Domain you will need to get from your IT dept. if you don't know it. This will look something like: abcompany.local\Alfie Password: Same one you use to log into your computer with your MS Exchange settings. Server: server.abcompany.com Use secure connection (SSL): make sure this is unchecked. Then you can go thru the rest of the settings and figure out how many days/weeks of email should be synced, how often you want your phone to sync (Automatic(push)) and what other things should sync, such as contacts and calendars. It's really just like remote access on another PC or a laptop if that helps. Ahha!!!! You are using an Exchange Server. That's the difference! The sync with an exchange server is nearly seamless where as those of us using a local connection have to use a third party software and some type of proximity connection (USB, Bluetooth or wifi). I had to laugh......I am the IT guy.
  10. Wifi, has to be in order for push to work. Sorry, I'm not being clear. What software or what procedures are you using to sync the device with MS Outloook? If you have a process that works great with contacts and calendars I'd certainly like to give it a try. Can you share more or all of the info about how you're sync'ing?
  11. I'd certainly like to know which settings I have wrong becasue no one else can seem to figure it out. Enlighten me. Are you on an exchange server? If not, which system do you use to sync your phone? I went through two different thrid party programs before I gave up. What system do you use to sync your phone that works with MS Outlook? Are you using USB or wifi?
  12. Alfie, I just sent myself an e-mail from my Google account to my work e-mail, which is in Outlook. I'm working from home. From send to receive on my Droid, it was 12 seconds. It took 32 seconds to hit my Outlook running on the home office computer. I'll bet it is in the settings. It could be the Gmail. I'm using a Verizon account for my primary account b/c that's what I have on my home system. I have a Gmail account but I'm avoiding having multiple emails on multiple devices. I would think that a Verizon phone would host Verizon email much better then it does.

  14. It's tough to explain unless you've carried and used a Blackberry for any period of time and it might just be my perspective. The Blackberry is nearly instantaneous with all of it's email and notifications. From a personal use point of view I think the Droid would be ok, not great but ok. From a business point of view it's just not on par with the BB's. I've been sitting next to someone with a BB who was included in the same email distribution as me and they can receive the message, respond and get another repsonce before my original message is received. Both phones on the same network no less. The battery issue is most likely a device specific issue. The Droid 2 that I use is relatively new and there aren't a whole lot of options for an extended battery, in fact I only know of the one I use and it's not significant'y better then the original battery. Other users on our plan have the HTC Incredible and get much better battery life. I've got my sights set on a device like the Torch but I won't switch to AT&T jsut to get it. In my neck of the woods Verizon rules the roost.
  15. I have to add that I'm using a Droid 2 on Verizon and it's lack luster to say the least. I switched from a BB Storm which had device issues but the Android system isn't any better due to system issues. My biggest gripe is the lack of integration with any MS product. The sync for calenders and contacts is rediculous and I'm resistant to adopting the Google online system. Another huge complaint is the email push. The emails tend to come in delayed and in bundles. I've been in email threads where I type a repsonce and hit send only to get hit with 4 or 5 more emails on the sync that completely change how I would have responded in my email. The BB system is 1000% better in terms of how it handles email. I'll give the Android props on web surfing and cool apps but in terms of being a smart phone....not so much. I've got 19 months before I can replace this Droid and I'm slowly watching them pass.... Oh the Droid also has some glitches in how the device operates that can't be ignored. IE - miss a call and go to the missed calls list and click the number that you missed. You'd expect to dial that number right? WRONG!!! You dialed the number before the last missed call. That happens....oh......every time! Set up a ring tone today, reset it tomorrow, the day after and the day after. And expect to be near a micro-USB at least once every 8 hours b/c this thing don't last even with the big battery. I've deleted all but the essential apps, I've set my display to save the battery and after 8 hours it's good night. Ok I'm done ranting. Good luck with which ever decision you make.
