    Choices

After a bit of time you get what you need and maybe a little of what you want. It feels good to just say to yourself, "which one do I feel like today".
  2. 180 BC, OAL 1.180, crimp .421, 4.82g U-Clays - STI Edge ave 901fps (162pf), STI 6" 2011 ave 943fps (169pf) this is my 6" load. 200 BC, OAL 1.180, crimp .421, 4.21g U-Clays - STI Edge ave 844fps (168pf), STI 6" 2011 ave 874fps (174pf) this is my edge load. A friend gave me this load I just tested, It has a shorter OAL. I needed something shorter because my 1911 would not take my long moly loads (freebore). 200 BC, OAL 1.142, crimp .420, 4.0g U-Clays - STI Edge ave 848 (169pf), STI 6"2011 ave 853 (170pf), STI 1911 ave 851 (170pf)

    Wait time.

This sounds normal to me. My open gun took 7 months. My limited 6" took 6 months. Is there a no wait custom gun builder?
  4. What made you consider COM. Is that the holster maker your familiar with? I don't know much about them, I did not consider them when I purchased for my open gun. I bought the DAA RaceMaster. I love mine but its the only thing I use. Been shooting LIM, L10 and open with that holster and like it. What I like is the adjustment capabilities but Manny's does and Ghost does. Does COM have this adjustment, I don't know. The website comholsters.com doesn't even show an open holster. If you want to support a shooter and small business, COM looks like the way. If you want an engineered piece of race equipment, look at the others. but really I could be happy with anything if I chose it, so you chose on.
  5. Jerryt, If your gonna spam, at least read the the topics in the first page of the general reloading forum. Someone already mentioned this. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=161000&view=findpost&p=1796445 They are legit though and I got my bullets that I ordered..
  6. I did receive the rest of the order this week.
  7. Ok, so my first packages from the 10k bullet order arrived. I was notified by email that I would receive 5 packages total. One of the bear creek boxes blew up in the flat rate but they had taped the corners and creases. It does not look like any bullets were lost. So not bad, ordered over weekend and got some bullets by Thursday. So yes indeed he has them in stock.
  8. This is a really fair assessment above. I have one and like the backpack rather than the one shoulder carry, especially if you have ammo and guns for a day of practice. For matches it can be overkill because your not far from your car and can leave some things behind. But for matches I will generally bring my highpower cart, so i don't need the backpack per se. The pack stays filled and I only downsize when needed. It has its place and purpose among all my range bags. I would buy one again.
  9. Because of that quick email response, I just sent an order for 20 boxes of the180's. I'll let you know when I get them.
  10. I sent them an email and got a quick response from them The reply Thank you for checking but the site is correct. Over $100 would be free shipping. I'll get them out Monday.
  11. Yeah I am with you on putting the info out there. I just went to the website and it does not quote postage. So i put in a 20 box order, and have to guess what they will charge me for postage. if I order through bear creek postage is free over like $100. I have not had a problem getting bear creek bullets but I usually don't need them tomorrow either. If this place does usps flat rate included then a CA person may be interested to avoid a sales tax.
  12. Couple of add on questions to this rather than start a new thread Can I just put the grx on an extra 550 tool head, say at station 3, and just size it that way. Any issues with pushing a loaded round through. Reason - I have about 10000 rounds already loaded that run like crazy through my 2011, but I got a new sti 1911 and it has a tight chamber. Maybe 1 in 15 pass a barrel check (but all these pass the 2011) and its at the base of the brass that binds. Right where my sizing die doesn't reach. I have checked and its not the bullet ogive (that's what I thought at first). If not I will just process my brass before loading for the 1911. Thanks
  13. I use Bear creek 200gr Crimp .422 Oal 1.180 Universal clays 4.2g This is about 850Fps out of a sti edge I use n320 for my jacket loads,
