Me, friend of mine, and Mike Carmoney all had a hand in them. Bruce Warren does something similar but uses modified TacSol barrel. I think he’s copied my cylinders, I gave him measurements few years ago.
I've never fired a rifle with tube barrel. I get rattled a bit with reshoots and want to eliminate that. Maybe I'll take it for a test drive when I get it together before thinking about ports or a comp.
I'd like to add a comp to a TacCom lightweight barrel. I never checked but I doubt there's enough material to thread for some sort of adapter. The workable option I think is drilling holes or milling slots. Has anyone done this or have ideas on shape of hole/ports. Thanks
I use 95 be. Bayou and either Bullseye or Unique mostly because I wanted to get rid of the powder. Can't remember the charge weight. More than you'd think because I had a problem with too light a charge causing the primers to back out. Next time around I'll load with E3, I like it in my revolvers.
Thanks revoman that's along lines of what I was thinking for 629. I think Short Colt and wadcutter will be close to same length cylinder but not checked yet. I might of posted this before, one of my 617s from a few years back and why I have tools for K Frame.
No real application I'm just bored. Heres what I'm thinking, have a 64 going with medium to heavy barrel and CMore maybe cutting cylinder back to wadcutter length. Plus side to this is I have tooling to do it. Other idea is a 629 I don't care much for. Going with either skinny or fluted barrel and going 5" with irons. Down side is I'd have to buy tools. Anyone have photos of what my end result might look like or any thoughts of what might work well.
