Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. It all comes down to what you shoot best. I tried .40 minor a few years ago with a Stock 2, and while it shot really soft it the slide just felt too sluggish to me. I also had some reliability issues since the gun had to be sprung lighter.
  2. Yes Kale did shoot Stage 5. I can't remember his time, but it was a pretty competitive run. I guess the moral of the story is to always check your scores, and if one is missing don't assume that it will be entered later. When we finished on Saturday I thought that everyone else had gotten 12 stages in as well. We had our share of waiting. We had to wait for the whole squad in front of us to shoot stage 4. Our squad was pretty small due to 4 or 5 no shows, but everyone helped tape and reset so we were able to finish stage 12 with barely any light left. We were very motivated to miss the impending mud, and it was nice to get on the road earlier on Sunday. The Stock 3 ran great! Hopefully I'll get a video up later this week.
  3. It was a fun match, the stages were great and I appreciate the hard work of everyone who worked to put it on. A good way to start the year off. There appears to be a major scoring discrepancy however, Kale's Stage 5 score is missing which would totally change the outcome of the Production final standings.
  4. Jim just sent me the word that the Stock 3's have finally arrived. It appears that the 9mm and .40's are SMALL frame. I'm hoping to get one in my hands soon to compare it to my Stock 2, and Shadow.
  5. The Limited and Open/L10 Nationals will still be back to back.
  6. Jim told me they were going to be large frame, and will be available in all calibers. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what's on the boat when it comes in.
  7. A little update on what I've been told so far about the Stock 3's. They are on their way over here and should start getting into people's hands mid October. They are also large frame, and are blued not the nickel Special finish. They've also been added to the USPSA Production list so they'll be ready to rock as soon as they get here.
  8. Yeah the chamber is pretty short like with most CZ's. I was able to work up a major load no problem using Autocomp. It's also easy to just get the chamber reamed if you want the option to load longer. If you want to shoot 38 super then Tanfoglio is your only option. I just had to cancel on Area 4. Was going to be too hard to get away after spending a week in Vegas.
  9. The Czechmate is based on the TS frame and can handle major PF easily.. Mine felt almost just like a Shadow in my hand. I would shoot that in Open over a Tanfolgio Gold Team.

    Stages

They typically post them a few weeks before the match. I would say anytime between now and October 13th
  11. I noticed I had the same issue after viewing video of me shooting in slow motion. I switched to the 10lb spring when Angus came out it, and now the muzzle doesn't move at all when returning to battery.
  12. Your best bet is to just give Jim a call, and discuss what you're looking for. He'll set it up however you want it.
  13. Contact Jim Bodkin at JD Sales. His website is Shooterready.biz He can also tune it up with all of Hennings goodies before shipping it out to you
  14. I should be able to answer most of those questions in a few weeks when I get mine If the Stock 3's are in fact small frame, large frame mags won't work.
