Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. Looking for a good load for Suppressed 45. Being from Minnesota we just the OK to Have suppressors last year. So I just got one for the 45. I like accurate, but most the shooting is at a plate rack in my back yard at 10 yards and less. Any good pet loads appreciated. Bill
  2. Looking for my 1st thermal scope. I want a good quality one, but my life does not depend on it. I want to keep it on one rifle only so quick change not needed. thanks
  3. I generally use the giraud 1st time through. That's good for a few loading as long as I find them.
  4. Just got my mark 7. Running 9 mm. Using Mr bullet feeder. I'm having the bullet topple approx 3 per hundred. My question, if I use the Redding expander will I still be able to swage the primer pocket?
  5. Mine is 37.5" it works well for me. I like to stand and reload.
  6. Do any of these systems increase the caliber change times by much. When loading rifle I have 2 heads, just wondering if it is a pita to switch. Thanks
  7. I had a lot of cases not fitting case gage. What helped me was changing the bullet seating die profile to the more rounded profile. That helped with bullet alignment.
  8. I know this is old, I moved and had to rebuild reloading room. I ordered a case pro while I was having this problem. I got it about 2 weeks ago. So I tried that no change. I then recheck and measured everything. Went to single stage loaded fine. Went back and switched the seating stem to the rounded profile. Loaded great. I feel a little silly seeing how that was posted as something to check and I missed reading it. It's been a real learning experience, but hey I was able to convince wife I needed a case pro to save brass.
  9. Any tips or video for replacing fiber optic front sight (Mine fell out)? Thank you, Bill
  10. I added crimp still producing poor ammo with CBC. I now believe they are going in crooked, Im not belling the case much so next on the list is the increase that. The few win brass that don't size well I think might be case bulge.
  11. Second try. Here is a picture of one not fitting. It's up about .25 inches. The crimp on this measures .379, but at the base of the bullet it measures.384.
  12. I've been using the Dillon case gauge. It's a little tighter than my chamber so I pull those out for practice. I have the crimp at .377, and length at 1.085. Perhaps a little long, but not the reason they won't fit gauge.
  13. I checked my crimp that was good. I think I'll start sorting out the CBC.
  14. I've just got my 1050 set up about 1 month ago. I've been having some rounds not fitting case gauge. When it became more than a few I started checking to find out why. They are 70 percent one brand of brass CBC with most of the rest being WIN. Now I pulled a dozen CBC brass from my once fired box and examined the brass no obvious bulge. Then I ran that dozen brass through the Sizing and Decrimp station. All 12 fit case gauge nicely. Then I went and loaded all 12 with only 3 of 12 now fitting gauge. The ones that don't fit there is a very distinct bulge where the base of the bullet is. I'm using Montana gold bullets I check a few of them they were very consistent. Any suggestions? Thank you, Bill
  15. I must of got Lucky. I ordered Federal Small pistol match primers from PV 2 days before they stopped and I got them 2 days ago. I think they will clear through the large volume of BO and hopefully get back to normal.
