In an other discussion I heard that Vectan SP 2 is no longer available in the US or at least hard to get. If its still available try it. I am using a 124 S&B TFMJ, in once shot S&B Brass. Muron SP primers, OAL 29,3mm and 8,0gr SP 2. Out of an Glock with Seidler Comp system. Will get some Ares bullets next week and will try those. They are supposingly much faster and should need around 10% less powder. They are also the cheapest ones around right now. Looking forward to trying them. There is much mention of Silhouette, VV, True Blue. But no mention of Longshot. In another forum, I saw multiple references to it. Anybody using Longshot in 9 Major and liking it? I've got an SVI IMM in 9 Major and have run about 11M rounds using Silhouette (125 JHP Zero, 1.18 OAL, 7.9 of Silhouette), but I've got 7 1/2 pounds of Longshot and no more Silhouette. thx, MAD Mike

I've just run out of Silhouette (7.9 gr, 1.180 OAL, Zero 125 grn - 168 PF) and have about 7.5 lbs of Longshot. I just perused the column and saw a few references to longshot powder with the range of 7 to 8 grains mostly for 124 grn w oal running from 1.150 to 1.180. I wondered if anyone has any updated information on this. I've an SVI IMM (4.5 barrel with 2 barrel ports and 3 port comp). By the way, I just had my C-More mounted sidewise and that so far has put an end to ejection jams. thx, MAD Mike

When I was shooting .38Super in a Schuemann Hybricomp (4 port), I sent an e-mail to Wil Schuemann. He favored the .356 size bullets. You should send an e-mail to Wil on this. I'm now shooting 9mm Major using .356 bullets (OAL 1.175) with 8.0 Silohouette. Very happy with the load and ecstatic with the SVI IMM. As with all loads, start lower and work up. My load makes 1330 using the Zero .356 125 grn JHP. As I've seen in other references to Silohouette, very low SD. Mike
