  1. Hello from Texas. Welcome to the forum and the exciting world of reloading. Don't hesitate to ask for advice as everything you are doing has been done lots of times before. George
  2. Welcome to the forum. Lots of real good information here. George
  3. Welcome to the Forum. Lots of good information here. George
  4. Hey, even I built one this summer and I can't build anything. I did a lot of research, asked questions of friends who build and shoot and jumped in. I bought a book I didn't like and a dvd that really helped from Brownells. I also purchased the AR assembly kit from Brownells and borrowed a torque wrench from Auto Zone. If you have the pivot pin on the lower assembled, you can build it. The hardest part for me was the trigger. Have fun and good luck, George
  5. Hey Frederico, Welcome to the Forum. Lots of good stuff and good people here. George
  6. Add eye protection and a couple of bottles of water and you seem good to go. Oh yeah, ammunition. About twice as much as you think you will need. Now go have fun. George
  7. IDPA, USPSA, IPSC, MULTI-GUN, etc. are all games. Competition. You can tell they are competitive games because they keep score. I really enjoy them and have for several years now, but they are not self defense training, etc. You will learn to shoot safely, to shoot under pressure, and have a great time. There are a ton of people who teach self defense training, proper technique, and how to do better at these games. I think you will have a lot of fun as long as you take them for what they are. AND, take your equipment with you when you go to watch. my $.02, George
  8. I would guess it is the crimp. I have a buddy who had that problem with his Kimber. It was even having problems with factory ammo and we ended up re-crimping the factory stuff too. thanks, George
  9. Welcome to the forum. This is a great place to expand on just about anything. George
  10. Who would I contact for Vendor information for the match? Thanks, George
  11. Welcome to the forum. I have never shot SASS, but USPSA and Multi-gun are a major blast. Jump in and give it a try. George
  12. Congratulations on getting the exercise program going. I know how hard it can be. I am starting to ride my bicycle in the morning to build up some leg strength. Keep it up! George
