Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. If your sure it's not bent valves I would say timing. Not knowing which engine you have , here is a link that hopefully has what you need. http://yotarepair.com/Timingbeltinstructions.html Even if you have a manual double check the info. I had a manual telling me to put the distributor in 180 out in high school. Crank, crank, crank, BOOM. Teacher just looked at me and said, that's not it. Anyway, best of luck and I hope this helps.
  2. My Speer manual has 27 gr. MAX for 55 grainers. Plus, I have heard that BL-C2 is VERY temp. sensitive. Running a HOT load in a HOT environment with temp sensitive powder maybe caught up to you. Glad you're OK.
  3. A zone is what 7 x 11. USPSA is more about speed than precision. I would put money on a big name USPSA shooter of not EVER winning. 3 Gunner,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,maybe. Straight up pistol shooter not happening.
  4. Yeah, I watched it super slomo and she also closed her eyes. I can't wait for her to go so we can see less grab assing with her and her boy buddy. Sick of her already. I don't mind Gabby at least she's proven herself as an Olympic shooter. The other chick, we all know why she is there, has GOT TO GO. Can't stand her. Honestly I think the only reason females are on the show is to avoid all the crap about discrimination and to add to the drama of course. Sooner or later the physical part of the "games" will take them out. Just wish they would hurry up and get to that point.
  5. I'm not worried about getting beat by someone with a flashlight. I'm worried about others getting beat by someone not following the rules, while they are following the rules. If you want them proficient, they can get just as much practice in open as any other division, and not step on anyone else's toe's doing it. Besides, open seems a much more viable option for them to be in, as it more closely resembles their true life situation (mags loaded up, flashlight/laser, gear placed where they want it, etc.) True that, and I have no valid argument against it. I just don't worry about it as much as others I guess. Local matches are about having fun for me. It's all good, to each there own.
  6. Here's a quick question? At this local shoot do they give out awards or discounts for next months match or anything or is it just looking at the paper and having bragging rights till next month? If it's just braggin' rights I don't see the problem with it. Technically yea, he's wrong. But I would much rather have my local LEO's proficient with there duty gear instead over fretting over which division they go in. I'm pretty sure most shooters there know who he is and if he finishes ahead of them, they know that he really didn't. The ONLY concern I would have would be the 10 round limit. I know, now I'm picking and choosing the rules I like but the reality of it is, it's been said on here that most people would like it if more LEOs and military would shoot and here we have one and someone is worried about getting beat by someone with a flashlight. I just don't get it.
  7. Alright, I'll give it a shot. Worst case, I get lost in the Florida countryside.
  8. Will be down for the Holidays. Anybody have specific directions? Punched it up on mapquest and it looks like three house and nothing but open fields around.
  9. So how many fingers, 1 per 2 per? I mean seriously, since the palm, fingers and thumbs are PART of the hand shouldn’t it be as long as your touching, period. But wait a minute, since we’ve already defined the parts of the hand and the question was “hands on XX’s”, it would certainly, most definitely, and clearly mean the your hands have to be on the xx’s. It didn’t say part of your hands on the xx’s it said HANDS (palm, fingers, and thumbs) on xx’s. May be this is why I haven’t shot a match in a year.
  10. I've only shot their .41 215s and they will do a 1 inch five shot string at 65 yards so I'm pretty pleased with them. Once I run out of bullets for my open gun I'm going back to a "real" gun and look forward to doing business with them some more.
  11. Seen a little of this a few minutes ago on ESPN and they were talking about "protecting the student athelete" I don't know, those two words put together just kind of make me chuckle a little. My goal is to just watch the games this year and steer clear of all the shows ABOUT it. Student athelete, "If it wasn't for football I wouldn't be in college playing football today" :roflol: Really.
  12. And SOME people say that SOME people are bad for the economy. Well, SOMEBODY sure did and will continue to stimulate the firearms industry.
  13. Just depends on your MOS and where you go. I fired MAYBE 100 rounds a year, usually less, zero in 12 and 40 for qual. I work with them everyday now and uuhhhhhh well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,like you, I'm not bashing anybody as I am also retired (05), but there are some people out there that need some extra help.
  14. Had one die about 2 years ago. Overnight on Tues. and had a brand new one waiting at the door when I got home after work Fri. Can't beat that. No warning with me either, 7 rounds into stage 1 (of course, couldn't be the last one) out she went. Not a single problem with the replacement, shot it still has the same battery and I don't turn it off at matches. I would not hesitate to buy another one should the need arise.
