Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. You could be right and I may be missing it but where in the rulebook does it say that? I thought it was a miss. I just looked it up to double-check… here it is: 4.3.1.6 Unlike Poppers, metal plates are not subject to calibration or calibration challenges. If a scoring metal plate has been hit but fails to fall or overturn, the Range Officer shall declare range equipment failure and order the competitor to reshoot the course of fire, after the faulty plate has been rectified.
  2. Or for a free alternative, check out VirtualBox: http://www.virtualbox.org/ I use it to run Linux in Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro. I've given up on Snow Leopard temporarily after it failed to resume from sleep 3 times in 1 day. Also, Windows has CounterStrike.
  3. However, if I'm reading this correctly, that is a 9mm conversion barrel, which is not legal in Production...?
  4. Just a heads-up: I just got an e-mail from natchez saying Federal SP primers were in stock! http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?conte...=FA100&src=
  5. The real issue here is: what is the value of 0/0? Normally, your stage points are computed as ((your_HF)/(HHF))*(available_stage_points). In the normal case when the HHF isn't zero, it all works out. But in the case where it IS, you simply can't do this. But, the competitor with the highest hit factor (0) is to be awarded the maximum points available (60), according to the rule Flex quoted.
  6. The way the following rule is written, yes. Okay, so the shooter has a hit factor of 0. Does he still have the highest hit factor? Yes. Therefore, he gets the maximum points available for the course of fire. The way the rule is written, it's pretty cut-and-dried.
  7. I just got my copy of this movie today. I am thinking it is going to be the best movie EVER. I've been wanting to watch it for a while... where does one get a copy of it in the US?
  8. Anyone upgraded yet? Thoughts? I'll probably give it a shot after I get back from the IL sectional... gotta have my priorities straight!
  9. Splitting a couple cases with a friend, THANKS!
  10. Congrats, and welcome to the deep end of the pool. The competition here is fierce!
  11. Agreed. I moved up to B class earlier this year without ever having finished at the top of C class at a major match. So far, I've missed out on 3 plaques at major matches as a result, and I'm getting the tar beat out of me in B. It's not even that I'm a bad B shooter, more that half of A class is in B. Don't be in such a hurry to move up until you know you're ready.
  12. That's funny, I was just joking about doing the same thing on the way to a match today. Doesn't look like it's on the list of approved Production guns, so L-10 is probably the best place to shoot it. If you guys do go ahead with this plan, keep us updated... I'd be curious to hear how it goes.
  13. Sounds like your 13 round magazine is for the compact XD (shorter grip). You should be able to remove the grip extension from it and use it in your full-size... just slide it up and off the mag.
