Garmil
Just set up a hornady bullet feeder on my Rcbs pro 2000. Those who use these do you just leave it running the whole time while you load? Hard to tell how many bullets are in the tube but would be nice to not listen to it the entire time.

Kraj
I turn it off while im loading. if i dont think to turn it back on when it doesn't drop one i take one out of the hopper as i turn it on and it catches up.
Foxbat
When I had it, I found that feature most irritating, so I installed a microswitch a few inches above the die - that made it much more acceptable. I also put a sound proof lid on the collator.

Foxbat
Sure. The lid was made out of 1/2" vinyl, covered inside with sound absorbing foam. The rest should be clear from the pictures.
Kraj
i was reading up on how other people did it and it seems whenever i want to build something i end up on ar15.com. techj
I'll leave it running and just put a cover on it - even cardboard will help. I used 2 pieces - one cut to roughly fit inside the bowl and taped it to one that is too large to fit inside. Cuts the noise a LOT.

Looks nice. I like the clear tube that would help.
jmorris
I used a micro switch for the one I had setup to stop my collator when the tube was full. I have also used proximity switches to control a case collator, a lot easier to setup without any modifications to existing parts. A link to one I have used is in this thread. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=225808&hl=%2Bloadmaster#entry2533465 This is it, just held in place by a couple of zip ties. Had it controlling an outlet that the collator was plugged into. Edited June 27, 2016 by jmorris
