Open glock

I'm shooting a glock17. Currently have a Jp. Jpoint mounted where my rear site was. So I think because I'm having a hard time searching for the dot I should change the mounting set up. So, who has a mount that will mount to my frame and I then will put the jpoint dot on the mount.

Changing mounting system wont help much in aligning the dot to your eye and target. Practice will.

Practice definitely helps as you'll learn proper presentation.

An alternative ($) solution is to go with a slide mounted dot such as a RMR with cowitnessed irons.

I think thats already his set up. Otoh cowitnessing the dot with the iron sights will force one to see thru the window and focus on the dot instead of the target. I learned in this forum that its not the WAY of the dot.

Thanks I wil dry fire more so it's as natural as can be

Have owned pistols both ways and cowitnessed is easier to grab and go without practice.

The irons are only there for initial guidance (not hunting for the dot), the way of the dot is strong.
