9mm bullet in .380 case

Ah, you mean on purpose :) Took me a few to be able to feel the 380 case when sizing. In our 9mm 1911s the bullet doesn''t move far enough for a round to chamber thank goodness. Ask me how I know.

I've fired a few out of the box 380 rounds through a 9mm pistol to see what would happen. I hit the paper but cannot remember if it cycled the action. The 380 case is straight while the 9mm is tapered. I think the extractor needs to be in the groove to ensure it fires.

If .380 slips past bullet feeder on 1050 to seating station - I honour it, placing bullet manually, then seat, crimp, and shoot. It extracts and cycles the gun with ~3gn of VV N320 under 150gr bullet. The case expands non-uniformly - on the left on the picture below.

Usually, the case won't make it past first or second station though.
