Shooting starts 0900.) Skills weekend - March 19-20, 2016 March 19, 2016 12 stage skills match March 20, 2016 4 combined stages This weekend is to help knock the cobwebs off and get ready for the 2016 3-Gun season! April 23 RO Clinic followed by match on April 24 (come both or just Sunday) Saturday will be our 4th annual RO clinic. This clinic is a good refresher for anyone wanting to serve as a 3-Gun RO, but it focuses on Natural Terrain matches. We will be working under RM3G rules, but it covers many of the RO skills talked about on the forums. There will be a little bit of shooting on Saturday and then a full Johnson 3-Gun match on Sunday. On Saturday, we will cover scoping out a stage (as an RO), looking for RO traps, dealing with the natural terrain for 180 and safety as well as RO repairs and supplies, RO equipment and preparedness. Since RO's at a natural terrain match implies more responsibility, we will spend some time looking at that as well. Since 3-Gun is growing so quickly, we will also be looking at strategies to work with shooters that are new to this type of match. The Sunday match will be open to everyone and you can just come on out to shoot! He-Man Nationals May 14-15, 2014 (Just FYI) July 23 - 3-Gun July 24 - Precision/Tactical 2 Rifle match Rocky Mountain 3-Gun World Championship August 11-14 (Just FYI) Nightforce Precision/Tactical 2-Rifle match August 27-18 (Inaugural Year. Just FYI.) Just a reminder for everyone about the first Johnson 3-Gun matches for the year at the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, NM. http://johnson3gun.webs.com/ March 13 - JJ will be having his first Precision/Tactical 2-Rifle match for the year. If you think the Nightforce Precision/Tactical sounds interesting...you might want to come shoot this. It will be held in Coal Canyon. 4-6 stages...no more than 60 rounds precision, and that's if you shoot 2 at everything. And there will be no more than 60 targets for AR-15...but you can keep shooting, so 60 would be a minimum! You need TWO rifles, an AR-15 and a precision rifle from .223 to 300 win mag in size! Gates open at 0730. Shooter's Briefing at 0830. $30 March 19-20 will be our yearly skills/knock the cobwebs off 3-Gun match! Saturday will be 12 little stages, stressing 3-gun skills we all need to practice or test ourselves on. Sunday, there will be 4 regular natural terrain stages combining the skills from Saturday! Newbie briefing both days at 0830. Shooter's briefing at 0900. $40 for either day, $60 for both! We will meet at Cooper! Join us!
