You'll need to sling both your shotgun and rifle. A sling WILL NOT be required for both guns on the same stage. One sling is good enough but have a way to sling your shotgun and rifle. Check out match sponsor Shooters Source

That thing rocks on a shotgun, fast shipping too! :D

Don't know how many are following us on Face Book but I wanted to communicate some of the discussions there.

9 stages are up. 10th and last one going up tomorrow.

Match Book link was emailed to all competitors. It has the schedule, descriptions, round count..... Here it is if you didn't receive one: http://northtexasmultigun.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/2016-Vortex-Shooters-Source-Match-Book-Rev-1.pdf

RO's are shooting this weekend. I'm going to try and get some video stage descriptions loaded to FB.

If you have any questions, please ask. I'm about to head to range for the next 10 days so responses may not come fast and late at night, but will do my best to answer every one.

See you guys soon!

Thanks Jeremy, looks great.

Any chance that you'll have the QD attachments onsite?

I believe in supporting those that protect us. Words and 'Thank You' are kind words, but actions define your character.

We will be offering two ways to help those that have put their life on the line so that we may have freedom.

1) There will be a man on man steel stage. $5 per man per run. As many runs as you want. Shoot against your buddy for bragging rights! Fastest time at the end of the match will win an Adams Arms 14.5" Tactical Evo Upper they have graciously donated! ALL THE MONEY collected from the side stage will go directly to the We Defy Foundation. I know the dudes that started the organization and they are legit. They'll be out there as well with T-Shirts for sale and answering any questions about what they do for our injured veterans to help them. Please tell Adams Arms Thank You for their generosity and support!
http://www.wedefyfoundation.org

2) Given what happened with Dallas P.D. recently, we're going to support them.
On your first stage Friday morning, and only on your first stage Friday morning, you can purchase a mulligan for $30. All the money collected from mulligans will go directly to support the fallen officers families. Shooter can only buy one. No refund at the end of the match if you don't use it. A mulligan can be used to re-shoot a stage that you think you could do better on. It can't overturn a DQ. You must tell the RO you want to use your mulligan before your score is entered on that stage. More details on rules at your first stage Friday morning.

For both events...BRING EXACT CHANGE. NO CHANGE WILL BE GIVEN. Anything over the $5 side stage or $30 mulligan, will be considered a donation.

Thank you,
Jeremy Moore
Match Director

Shooters,

Because of you, we will be donating over $2,800 to the families of the fallen Dallas Police Department officer from the purchases of mulligans today!

We can continue to offer our support at the We Defy man on man stage. It's located next to where you start driving on Stage 6 and right across from stage 5 in the 100 yard bay.
It's 7 plates and a stop plate. Pistol only. Best 2 out of 3 wins. $5 per man for a 3 string run. Winners advanced to the finals on Sunday afternoon, where it will be Single elimination. Winner walks away with an 11.5" Adams Arms 5.56 upper.

We Defy is a great cause. Stop by and see them for more information.
You can shoot it while you're waiting to shoot stage 6, since there's n reset!

Thank you and see you guys in the morning!

Thank you North Texas Multigun for putting on a great match. The stages were very challenging but fun at the same time. Match was run very well and the accommodations were excellent. Popsicles were a nice touch. Will definitely be signing up for next year as soon as registration opens!!

EXCELLENT match! I didn't shoot as well after day one as I would have liked, but never stopped having fun, and never stopped getting challenged. I typically go through my match itinerary after the year and start highlighted "must attend" matches for next year. Broke the highlighter out this morning and took care of it early!

^^^Agreed with the above sentiments. I had a great time and really enjoyed the stages. They were interesting and fun, keeping one entertained and engaged. The service to the shooter was also done well IMO, and tip of the hat to the staff and others for making efforts to help LE and MIL. Kudos to the RO staff, they had it rough but maintained a friendly, courteous, and fair environment.

Thanks Jeremy, Vortex, and all the sponsors. I'm ready to register for the 2017 edition. :)
