The 686SSR is not moonclipped (though the 627 also in the 'pro' series is). That's okay; with a pile of practice, he'll be able to dazzle his shooting buds with the proper use of the comp III's!

(Moonclips would bump him out of the IDPA category the gun is named for--Stock Service Revolver--anyway)

You should shoot photos for the magazines. That or you just always pick stuff I like. I was almost upset to hear you sold the two tone 17 but then you posted these picks of another of my favorite handguns. Good taste. Hope you enjoy your new game............

Thanks, CW! I'm really not the photographer in the family...it's my wife's camera and it does all the work (Digital Rebel XT). It's a couple generations old now, but it still takes great photos, so we're not gonna upgrade anytime soon.

Don't worry, I still have the two-tone G34 that replaced the 17:
