Guidelines for Posting Images

Recommended Posts

Updated 01.23.08:

• Pictures of "items" (guns or reloading equipment, for example) must be of items you personally own.

• Pictures of "might-be-for-sale," or "work-for-hire" type items are specifically prohibited.

This forum was suggested by SiG Lady, as a central place to post pics of your mug, blaster, range, dog, truck, wife, husband, or whatever.

Ron Ankeny and SiG Lady volunteered to help out with images for those who don't have a graphic program to prepare the pics for posting, so contact them if you're unsure how to post an image.

All pics must be posted in either .gif or .jpg (.jpeg) format, and please set the pixels/inch (resolution) to 72 dpi, and limit the width of all pictures to approx. 500 pixels. If you don't know what the previous sentence means, or why it says what it does, then you probably shouldn't post pics in the forum.

:D

Thank you,

benos

Just a bump to remind folks of the gallery rules.

And, please...enough of the check out the new gun just done by <insert name of smith here>...

This is tricky for us as moderators. We want to let people show off their new gear, yet what we often get is an end-around of the rules that prohibit advertising on the forum. :(

If they are making money off gunsmithing work...they owe it to Brian and the other dealers to pony up and get a dealer account. It's the right thing to do...and many sure have benefited from the free word of mouth that they have received here on Brian's Forum.

Do the right thing.

Bump again...after removing a thread that was showing off "work for hire".
