1911vm
Ok one more time which set up K-dot , Leupold cq/t or EOTech with a magnifier All are priced in the same ball park all have + &-_ I have saved just for one I just looked at EOTech with a flip magnifier it worked very well. So before I spend a lot of money please give me your two cents Thanks

Kingman
I have an aimpoint comp and am thinking about throwing a 3 magnifier in front of it myself. The aimpoints eotechs are very fast on close up targets.
Cactustactical
Personally, I would go with the Meopta K Dot or the Valdada Cqb. But, ask 100 people and you will get 100 answers to your question, too many dynamics in scope selection for there to be a definitive answer. kurtm
Nothing beat iron up close! NOTHING. As for dots, nothing beat field of view. The Meopta is hands down bigger field of view wise on 1X than ANY AimPoint/Eo-Tech. The down side of the Meopta is that you have to dial it up and down to change magnification where as a AimPoint/Eo-Tech with a flip magnifier is faster to go from one power to "max" power. All life is a trade off, spin, flip, no mag...it,s all good!

Jaxshooter
I tried the Meopta and ended up with the IOR Valdada 1-4X26 with the illuminated CQB reticle. The Valdada glass is just as good as the Meopta and has a better reticle referrence points for different yardages.
mpeltier
MEOPTA I have the Meopta and also a Aimpoint comp ML3 with 3x magnifier with the Larue flip mount. The Meopta was less expensive and superior for 3-gun competition. The Aimpoint set up does have a cool factor to it though, and is fun to use. Bear1142
Nothing beats iron up close! NOTHING. Now lets not get ridiculous. Iron's are good, but I prefer golf clubs. They have a little more range. Seriously, this depends on what you define as up close. Inside 15 yds., I agree. Over 15 and the dots start to show an edge. Religious Shooter
How about inside 15 yards and only heads and horizontal A-zones as targets? I can see it with full-targets. I don't know about partials.
mjbine
EOTech with a magnifier would that be consider two optics? Just wondering.

redmercury2
IOR VALDADA , great glass and easy to use ranging reticle.
M118LR
I would go with the Meopta. Also I think that the Meopta has way better glass than the IOR. Just my 2 cents worth on the subject.
Jaxshooter
I have both scopes, the glass in the Meopta is no better than the IOR. If anything the edges on the IOR are clearer with no distortion.
Religious Shooter
Does the newer IOR have a tint? I have an older IOR CQT and the tint makes things worse.
Charles Bond
EOTech with a magnifier would that be consider two optics? Just wondering. Yes it is two optics and the same would go for the aimpoint with the magnifer. As such, it works for open but not for tactical division. davidwiz
I find the CQ/T recticle too big for precision shooting - plates at 200 yards are tough. For me, a open reticle (like the TA-11's donut) or that EOTech uses is better. For close-in work, the CQ/T reticle is fine.
