kmca
I've tried the search feature with no results. Does anyone know of a gunsmith that will do a trigger job on a Buckmark? TIA, Keith
smokshwn
Almost any decent smith should be able to smooth the engagement surfaces of a buckmark. Try asking around locally. Also there may be a little to be gained by taking a coil or two of the mainspring. To my knowledge there are no aftermarket parts though. Good luck, Craig

The problem is, I know of only one gunsmith locally that I would trust, and he won't do any trigger work, unless it duplicates the factory specs BTW, I was hoping to find a smith either in the San Francisco bay area or in the central valley. smokshwn
Don't worry, someone close by you will chime in pretty soon with a local smith.
Heggis
What model of Buckmark are you talking about? I've got a Buckmark Plus with a 800g triggerpull. This was done homesmithing by turning the searspring around and bending it a bit. No need to touch the mainspring or engagement surfaces. The mainspring effects mainly how hard the hammer hits, doesn't effect that much on the triggerpull. Few pictures on how my sear spring is in place and how it looks like. http://www.perfect-s.net/kuva/buckmark/IMG_4055-01_1000.jpg http://www.perfect-s.net/kuva/buckmark/IMG_4056-01_1000.jpg http://www.perfect-s.net/kuva/buckmark/IMG_4058-01_1000.jpg http://www.perfect-s.net/kuva/buckmark/IMG_4062-01_1000.jpg http://www.perfect-s.net/kuva/buckmark/IMG_4063-01_1000.jpg
kmca
Heggis, Thanks for the reply. Actually, I'm more concerned with the shape of the trigger. I'd like to reshape it if possible, or get another with a different contour.
Heggis
Well im working on a new trigger too. Plan is to get pre- and overtravel screws too. But homesmithing again so it takes time. I'm going for a pretty straight trigger. From what I've read reshaping is not possible. Atleast so that it looks good. It is possible to put an insert to the trigger. My plan: http://www.perfect-s.net/kuva/buckmark/IMG_4037-01e_800.jpg Small lump of brass http://www.perfect-s.net/kuva/buckmark/IMG_4040-01_800.jpg Now where is my dremel again...
