P320 Safety question

I have not handled a P320, only know what I see online. I am a little confused about the safety on a P320 and haven't been able to find a clear answer in anything I have read online. I am a left handed shooter and interested in how the P320 fits into IPSC Production division.

I initially assumed the P320 would have some form of trigger safety like most striker fired pistols tend to. But then I see other references to an ambidextrous thumb safety. So for production, do I shoot it DA only like I would a Glock, or is there something else going on that I am missing?

Also in general: All Production-legal guns are either striker-fire (Glock like) or have to start in DA with their hammer fully down.

This means that there is NO gun you can shoot in Production that requires you to engage the safety at the start of a stage.
