Mccuistion
Hey guys, I'm posting this for a friend that is thinking of selling his target sport orange because of this problem. Basically he has a stockpile of freedom munitions 9mm and it gets stuck in his mags. I've attached a pic to show what happens but my thought it the freedom munitions is just too long OAL. Has anyone seen of oal issues like this before? I haven't.
bsand
Yep that was happening with my buddies Ruger American pistol. Loaded rounds too long (book max 1.169") loaded them.around 1.125" and no issues. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
overlord
OAL is a major & frequent problem with CZ'S. If slighy long it just gets stuck.I reload to avoid this problem.I suggest that he check the length to be sure.Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
repins1911
Tell him to pick up or borrow a regular Tac Sport non-orange mag and see if he has the same issue. I only shoot Freedom Munitions 115, 124, and 147 grains. Never had any magazine issues out of my non-orange TS with their ammo. No issues with both the stock springs/followers or the CZ Customs springs/followers/extended base pads.
kneelingatlas
How long are the rounds in your stockpile?
PRanta
TS and TSO mag's share same tube. It takes 9x19 and 9x21 ammo. Those Freedom rounds must be out of spec.
zzt
My buddy shoots a TS with Freedom Munitions 124gr loads and he loves them. No mag problems at all.
CZ85Combat
post a pic of the side of the mag.
rledwards
Good luck. I had the same problem with a S&W M&P 9mm that would only do it during a major match, never in practice. Mags were numbered and never with same mag. Tried different bullets loaded to different lengths. Switched to CZ SP01 and never had problem again. eerw
As the others commented. Ammo OAL is too long. What weight bullet is he running. What is overall length?
