MissionaryMike
We have any live comparisons pinning these two against each other? Would really like some feedback here.
Gcarr
I have a 75S, S1, S2 and had a LSP. I can say the S2 wins hands down. The LSP felt top heavy when the slide got to reciprocating.
Edmooberry
I have only dry fired the S2, but I REALLY liked my LS-P. I would have to give it to the LS-P. I agree with Gcarr, though. It does feel top heavy, I just prefer it that way.
bigdave24
I much prefer the LS-P. But I did recontour the frame to get a higher grip.
matts2k
Have s2, s3, ls-p. I prefer the s3. Second, the LS-P
bigdave24
I assumed S2 was referring to Shadow 2, or was it Stock 2?
aandabooks
Someone post a guide to the acronyms, please.
MissionaryMike
In this thread, I was asking about the Shadow 2.
IHAVEGAS
Still trying to make up my mind between the two, they are both good guns obviously, so far I have not been able to tell any difference with the timer. A challenging double action first shot seems easier with the Lsp, I think because of grip/hand/finger geometry, going to try a cz 85 trigger on the Shadow 2 and see if that effects things. I'm also more confident on the really tough single action shots, which could be related to the smidge longer Lsp sight radius but I think is more related to me just having put a lot more rounds through that gun. The S2 seems to get back on target better for me, I can't say that I get any faster splits with it but I do think that I get more consistent splits so maybe faster by eliminating the occasional slower than normal shot. scroadkill
Ive been curious myself.. I put a cts upper on my sp01 shadow frame and fitted a disco to shorten things up.. its heavy but a joy to shoot especially at the far stuff. the weight eats up the double taps w/ factory loads. I cant wait to personally run it side by side with a Shadow 2 or Tanfo 3 or STI edge.
Hi_Im_Vinh
Does the LS-P weigh less than 45oz? I was looking at a S2 for Carry Optics gun but found out it won't make the weight cut
bigdave24
Yes, it weighs less than 43 oz with empty mag.
twowheels
I've been running my longslide top end on my sp 01 shadow lower (with light grips). Love it. I haven't handled an S 2.
IHAVEGAS
Ended up selling the shadow 2 for what it is worth, in the long run it was just easier for me to get Alphas with the cts, the next person may have a completely different result. Nothing bad to say about either gun. Giving the tanfo stock 2 a whirl next, then I think I will call the production gun experiments over with.
