SA range officer 9mm minor

Put in a 7 or 8# recoil spring and you should be good to go.

Other good additions:  Techwell mag well and grips, and some grip tape on the front strap.

If you reload, see my post regarding the tight chambers in the SA ROs.

Your stock gun should eat 130PF ammo fine.

However, most guys in my area run a 9 pound recoil spring.

In USPSA, Major guns seem to be the norm.

In IPSC, Minor guns are more common.

It has to do with stage design.

I like minor SS for anything but the SS Nat'ls. Stage planning like the production shooters. Get good mags, use good ammo, pay attention to extractor tension. A 9mm should run just fine.

This year's SS Nats was a little more Minor friendly. The year before I shot minor, huge mistake

I run a 10 lb spring for my 126 pf loads.

The 10 lb also will cycle with 110 pf loads for steel.

I have had problems with an 8 lb  not returning the slide all the way.

Mine is the all stainless version.
