sclagg
https://vimeo.com/219234441 So what are y'alls thoughts on video... does it appear to be sprung efficiently? It feels good but may go down to a 9 just to see what the results are. It is a 9 Major with LSI comp. 170.5 PF 115 MG 8.4 HS6 10lb Var Wolff recoil spring Thanks for your help! teros135
Yeah, the nose is dipping when the slide closes. You might try 9 and 8 variable, maybe even 7 variable. Depends on how heavy the slide is and how well the comp works. Trial & error, basically. I'm using 7# in my 9 major and 38sc, works best for me. echotango
I have switched a couple time times between an 8 and 9. I keep going back to the 8. 10.4oz slide shooting 172pf load. 10# seem a little stiff.
Aircooled6racer
Hello: 8 or 9lb ISMI recoil springs are working for me for years. Thanks, Eric
drewbeck
There's a big dip on recoil, try going down a lb or two on recoil spring and up 2-4 lb on mainspring. You'll also want to try opposite geometry on the firing pin stop as you currently have as part of the testing. I.e. If it rounded, try a steep slope cut with all springs. You'll see more difference in slow vid that in the dot initially
MrPostman
I had a 7lb in mine, you should do some slowmotion video and play around with the spring weights to find one that doesn't dip on you.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

sclagg
I have a 9 and an 8 ready to go... heading out Tuesday for a test and more vid's. Thx guys! SC
MrPostman
Yep looks like it is oversprung, I would stick the 8 in and try it. I tried a 9, 9 variable, 8, 8 variable and then a 7 and there was no dip at all with the 7. Good luck!
