DementedAntics Posted May 20, 2017 Share Posted May 20, 2017 So I just recently purchased a pair of ACT mags from Gregcotellc.com and they do not want to drop free when the mag release is depressed. They seem like they are a tighter fit overall. I read great reviews about them being high quality and issue free but both of mine have issues. One works some of the time and other times it won't. ddc Posted June 5, 2017 Share Posted June 5, 2017 Mine were a tight fit and would not drop free. They seem to come with some kind of waxy coating on them. Kind of tacky as I recall, this was several months ago. I stripped them down, cleaned everything with mineral spirits. Wiped them down with a rag with some silicone spray on it. Wiped them down with a dry rag leaving only a very minor residual amount. They now drop free. Not quite as easy as factory but good enough for practice and I'd use them in a match if necessary.
