JamisonMcCollister
So if I'm reading the rules correctly. On a Gen 4 Glock I have to use the factory recoil assembly. I'm not allowed to use an old style assembly because i would have to use a slide insert to make the gen 1 assemblies work? are there other options for recoil springs for a gen. 4 other then the factory? suggestions would be helpful. Mike62
You can use a solid rod as long as it is not tungsten or the extended version. I shot my old glock with one through 30+ major idpa matches without issue.
TK66
I don't think it's SSP legal.

Jim Watson
Jaeger makes a single spring rod they SAY is acceptable. No separate "slide insert". http://jagerproducts.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=35&products_id=

I have a 17 MOS and with the stock spring and minor PF, ejection is poor. I'll have to give one of these a try! TK
JamisonMcCollister
I have a couple of the jagers the fitment on the 17 is poor on it. Maybe one for the 34 will be better. I guess I don't see the difference in the Jager since it's captured Vs say a taran tactical that uses a slide insert. In theory even the captured is using a slide insert to make it work in the gen. 4 Edited May 13, 2017 by JamisonMcCollister
