yosturm Posted April 30, 2017 Share Posted April 30, 2017 Am I the only person in the world having issues installing a HIVIZ Compsight on my Stoeger M3K? Nothing comes up with a simple google search so it must be working easily for everyone else. I have looked up and the sight post should be 3mm. I have used a pair of calipers to find the right screw of the 5 provided with the new sight. It seems to be the right size but just wont thread, as if the treads are wrong. I have, or course, tried all of the other screws, just in case, but to no avail. Measuring the factory front sight with my calibers it measures a little smaller so I wonder if part of it has stripped off and is inside the front sight post threading. I have attempted to clean it out as best as I can, but visually the threads look fine. What is the next step? See if I can order another front sight screw or get a tap and rethread the sight post?
