Old3GNR
I'm planning to shoot my first PCC USPSA match this weekend and noticed a lot of residue on the comp after today's practice. Gun is new and I haven't cleaned the comp previously. The residue knocked out cleanly using a punch and light hammer strike. It looks like Carbon to me but I would like other opinions. There's about 1000 rounds through the gun and all ammo was my reload, 124 gr Hornady FMJ RN over Tite Group. The base of the bullet is exposed lead. Link to comment
Hi-Power Jack
I made the mistake of shooting a few thousand rounds of FMJ's thru my comp ten years ago, when I started shooting OPEN. Immediately rectified the situation and switched, permanently, to JHP's - didn't have to "clean the comp" any more Link to comment
