12Bravo
So I've now shot my new A5 in a couple of matches and am really liking it. Just one issue that maybe those familiar with the gun can help me with. When I am quad loading I tend to catch the first shell on the bottom of the chamber, is this something that I can bend the tip of the lifter to alleviate or do I just need to calm down a bit and not jam the shells in so hard? Tweaked the end of my M3K lifter a bit to help this, just wondering if that is needed here as well. bwikel
Is the bolt locked back when this happens and it's in auto loading condition?
12Bravo
It happens whether locked back or not.
bwikel
It may take adjusting the lifter and putting a slight chamfer on the Yoplait of the chamber. Just tweaking the lifter may affect feeding.
12Bravo
I appreciate the feedback. I think I'll have to leave it be till after the shooters source match this weekend, then I can look at it a little more in depth.

bwikel
I tried the taccom stick on lifter extension. The A5 lifter is not flat enough for it to stick. Also there are several cut outs on the lifter that require the same cuts on the extension. I spent a good amount of time fitting it to throw it in the trash. It may be a viable option for some lifters but the A5 isn t one of them.
billdozer
I wouldn't touch it. Learn to load it. Messing with the internals is a good way to make a good shotgun, a not so good shotgun.
12Bravo
So shot in TX over the weekend and concentrated on not shoving the shells in to the port quite as aggressively. Seems to have alleviated the problem somewhat.
