waht is the thinking on fn 9mm's

have a chance to pick up a set of f/s and compact  really inexpensively

not into buying and selling. i am a keeper/user.

mag  size is great  8 mags-- 2 -compact 6 f/s

am big on b.u.g. taking same mag if it came to carrying fits all my s&w leather.

cheap change for me

shot them and liked them.

know a mil spec armorer who put a smooth trigger tune on them

all answers appreciated   (except smart ass's)

tks

I've owned and FNX9 and an FNP 45, both were very well made, accurate and reliable. However, aftermarket support is more than lacking. The inability to find holsters, sights etc convinced me to sell them and move on.

I had a FNS-9L I loved but there was no after market support. Sevigny sights and a custom kydex holster, that was it. Gun was way oversprung, no trigger job or components, etc. I even talked to Sevigny Performance and they wouldn't even work on it.

I had an FNSL 9mm for about a year.

what i liked: great all around feel, larger than normal magazine opening, great ergo's, rough slide serrations, large mag release

What I could not stand: unless you had the slim mag release there is a good chance you will hit the mag release inadvertently while manipulating the gun. trigger felt really heavy on initial pull then a slight crisp at the end, I never took the time to mess with it.

Sevigny sights were great...

I never tested for accuracy but I'm sure it shoots fine.

I shoot a FN9L in production. I am new and just knocking on the door of C class so not having aftermarket stuff isn't an issue. However, no other gun I have shot fits my hand and feels as good as FN's.
