Are conversion barrels legal in carry optics?

Not to my knowledge.  All the rules of Production are in effect and conversion barrels aren't allowed.

21.4 Grips  Replacement grip panels are allowed provided they do not extend below the butt of the gun to form a make-shift magwell. Grip modifications such as, but not limited to, undercutting/smoothing the trigger guard, adding or removing finger grooves, or adding stippling, grip tape, or checkering are specifically allowed, without reference to Appendix E4.

"BARRELS: Current rules remain in effect - you may replace the barrel with an OFM or aftermarket barrel which is of the same length, contour and caliber as the original barrel for that model of gun."

I was hoping to do the same thing with my XDm .40, convert it to 9MM. Oh well, loading to minor and having two less in the mag will not win me the gold anyway. Since I am just trying it out for fun, I'll hold off on getting a 9MM, still love the old L10 division...............and yes the dreaded .45.
