boudreux
I was given a muzzle brake from a friend who thought it was a miculek but it doesn't appear to be from what I see on his website. It has 2 small holes in between the ports and I'm not sure if they should face up or down (see picture). Also it didn't come with a crush washer or jamb nut, which one do I use or does it matter? Thanks in advance
TonytheTiger
It's an eBay Miculek knock off. The holes should face up.
Nugget
I'm not certain what comp that is, but the design is similar to most comps that direct gases up to compensate for muzzle rise. As for which attachment hardware, either will do. Jam nuts are nice if you want to keep the crown clean on the barrel.
PCKLST
Does look to me allot like an Ebay Lantac knock off. Holes up or 1:00 if right handed.
toeheadAR
Amazon used to sell one similar to that as well. but as others have stated it the holes face up to counter the muzzle rise.

jbran267
I'd use a crush washer and tighten it up to about 2'oclock and shoot it. See how it feels as you approach 1 o'clock or a little past. Crush washers are one time use, you can't back off once you're past where you want to be. edit sorry that was late Edited March 31, 2017 by jbran267

My RO always complained about my m4-72 (very similar design). +1 on 1 o'clock for mounting. Use a lock nut, or the PA accu-washers. I'm partial to the washers, if your brake is threaded deep enough to accommodate them.
