Caspian high cap mag release

Hey guys I've worn out google trying to find what I'm looking for. Does anybody know who makes an oversized/ extended mag release compatible to caspian high cap frames?

The stock caspian mag release is extended

if you're looking for one with a button, I've never found one 

what I did was cut a groove in the grips similar to the magpul 1911 grips to access the mag catch

i did try to drill and tap one years ago and after I wore out 4 carbide drill bits and broke a couple of taps,  I gave up

I I don't know of any aftermarket drop in releases, but I have two caspian wide bodies and they have both been "drilled and tapped" for a mag release button.  The Ed Brown is a nice button and isn't too bulky. 

As rishii says, they are hard.  If you don't have the right stuff might want to send the mag release to a gunsmith who can do the job for you.  Busting off a tap in the hole is a real bummer.

Carbide drill, carbide tap. Did it on a lathe.

Not too bad of a job but you had to work blind. Can't see the release in the collet.

Would the Guncrafter one work for Caspian? I know it works for Para...

It will not, only the Caspian will work. It is one of the parts that can't be substituted along with the trigger bow and main spring housing. Other after market parts like the grip safeties would need to have protective trigger bow wings welded on and the frame modified for thumb safeties.
