thompsoncustom
I was courios how many of you use or have tired this combo 147gr + n310. Im always playing around with loads and was thinking this load looks good on paper if n310 meters very well and i load really load. Thoughts on how it compared to your other minor loads? MemphisMechanic
It's soft. It's also ... a bit sketchy. Edited February 9, 2017 by MemphisMechanic

Put the data through quickload and could tell the pressure change from .1gr is a lot thats why it has to meter well to even be considered. Also if it doesnt fell any different than the same amount of say bullseye, red dot, titegroup it also probably wouldnt be worth considering. MemphisMechanic
It does. Ultrafast powders like Clays and N310 are awesomely soft. However, you don't actually shoot any faster. It won't help your scores versus a safer powder.
dave33
I experimented with 310 under a few different types of 147gr FP coated lead rounds. It shot very soft, was very consistent with low SD numbers, but didnt give good accuracy compared to other powders I used. Found a much better use for it in a different caliber. Aric
This combination has a soft recoil. Federal small pistol primers show pressure signs.
thompsoncustom
I may pick up some n310 or titewad to play with but if the lower recoil doesnt transfer to better times/scores it would be a waste of time and money i guess.
