Mounting RMR on an STI Edge

What is the cleanest and best method to attach some type of RMR to an STI edge?

Don't want to mill the slide, but want to be able to have the ability to have an RMR.

Which would be the best unit for this application? Burris Fast Fire, Leopold Delta Point, Trigicon LED, Vortex Venom, c-more sts?

I'm not real familiar with open set-ups...but if you don't want a slide mounted optic then i guess you'd go with a frame mount...something like this:  https://www.speedshooter.com/category_list.cfm?ID=MO

 

You'll have to drill and tap your dust cover.  Can't help with optic...but tough to beat Vortex warranty

EGW makes a wide variety of dovetail mounts that fit where your rear sight is. You will need to buy one to match the cut you have on your slide and the red dot you wish to use as there are several patterns of each. My Edge has an LPA cut for the rear sight.

A source for dovetail mounts is prob the best route. 

 

Not it trying to create an open gun, just put an rmr on a 2011. Def don't want it frame mounted.
