What can you do with a single stage press?

If you only reload pistol cartridges and already have progressive reloaders, do you still want a single stage press? I bought one recently, an RCBS RC Supreme, but I am not sure what else I can use it for besides depriming before wet-tumbling.

I use it to pull bullets with a collet bullet puller. Much easier and convenient than other methods.

I use my single stage for a push through sizing die (GRX in my case).

I shoot 200gn SWC 45ACP. Would the collet type bullet puller work?

You can run a GRX die if you load .40.

You can pull bullets.

some may even size the brass with a standard sizer die before running through a progressive that has a Udie installed.

But these are just a lot of extra pulls of the handle in my opinion.

This is what I have set up at the far side of the bench and hope not to use.....

I have my old rock chucker that did nothing since I got my dillon 550. Once I got into casting bullets, it has found a new purpose swaging the cast bullets. The next story in the rock chuckers life will be swaging crimped primer pockets.

I load low volume rounds on mine. 338 lapua specifically. It sucks

Same here. Looking at a CH4D swager to do some 9mm once a year or so

I use my single stage to deprime all of my .223 brass. it allows me time to inspect and sort  each case prior to trimming. 

All processed brass is fed to the Dillon for final loading.
