As a displaced CDN and former Armed Forces member... pleased to call Michigan my home. Transitioning from 3P rifle, and Bullseye - I'm looking to expand action pistol shooting. Looking at the STI DVC Limited or Classic.... as my main competitive pistol, but I need to understand better what class, if any, will the Limited qualify for within IDPA. (XDS 4" will allow CCP). Thoughts? Thanks... The DVC Limited will not be legal in IDPA, long dust cover, slide lightened, bull barrel. No bull barrel longer than 4.25", no dust cover or rail longer than 3.25", no slid cuts allowed. The DVC classic might, but to be sure take all the specs and compare them to the rule book before you purchase. With a 5.4" barrel, the classic overall length might be too long.
