Alaskan454 Posted November 15, 2016 Author Share Posted November 15, 2016 8.2.6.7 Revolver BUG (BUG-R) 8.2.6.7.1 Handguns permitted for use in BUG-R must be: 8.2.6.7.1.1 Any revolver that uses .38 or larger cartridges with a rimmed case and is not loaded with moon clips. 8.2.6.7.1.2 The use of trimmed (shortened) ammunition is not allowed. 8.2.6.7.1.3 Barrel length of 2 1/2" (2.500". 63.5mm) or less. 8.2.6.7.1.4 The unloaded firearm must weigh 22 oz (623.69gm) or less. 8.2.6.7.1.5 Be loaded to the division capacity of no more than five (5) rounds in the cylinder. 8.2.6.7.1.6 The firearm must fit in the IDPA gun test box measuring 6 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 1 3/8" (6.500" x 4.500" x 1.375", 165mm x 114.3mm x 34.925mm) 8.2.6.7.1.7 Revolver BUG Modifications: Revolver BUG must comply with all Stock Revolver features and modifications, and equipment restrictions. I'm just lamenting the fact that there's only one manufacturer of snubbies that hold six rounds, which is the proper number of rounds a revolver should carry. Anything more or less than six rounds is an abomination. I couldn't agree more. That's why I was so stoked to shop for a 3" K-Frame. I'm glad I didn't find one. Alaskan454 Posted December 21, 2016 Author Share Posted December 21, 2016 I was probably most disappointed because my actual carry piece is a 3" revolver that fell within the rules, god forbid we actually shoot our carry guns in IDPA!
