G-Lever Conversion Video

Less

Recommended Posts

Looks like the M9A3 G-conversion lever should fit a lot of older 92FS guns without needing slide milling/etc. Video is a little long but show you, in gory detail, the conversion process. Essentially, there is a large coil spring that catches the slide and pulls the lever back up. Neat.

Less thanks for the video, it just doesn't seem it could be that easy.  Any chance you've done a video on Beretta Trigger Bar fitting?

Thanks Again!

Sorry bro ... I'm no good with that stuff... LOL

In production division, is it legal to use this decocker-only conversion kit on a 92FS?

Specifically, does this qualify as a factory part that is available from another production approved model (i.e. Beretta 92G decocker only) per appendix D4 21.6:

Any other components which are externally visible may ONLY be replaced with OFM parts which are offered on the specific model of gun or another approved gun from the same manufacturer except as specifically clarified below. Examples of external components which may only be replaced with OFM parts include (but are not limited to): magazine releases, slide stops, thumb safeties and triggers.

Or, does it violate 21.1:

ALL factory safety mechanisms, whether internal or external, must remain functional.

You would essentially be converting the 92FS to a 92G, both of which are on the approved list, so this would be an acceptable modification.  My understanding of function in the Beretta pistols is not complete, but once the gun is cocked, the lever de-cocks it, correct?  So that the first shot or condition in the holster is DA only, and subsequent shots are fired single action.  If you were to have to set the gun down or holster it loaded, then the decocker would decock the gun, satisfying the requirements for a loaded gun with the hammer down to not have a safety applied.  Is that correct?

If so, then it's an allowed modification.

Here you go.
