1911vm
I have wanted an STI for a while. and almost have saved to get one. i am just looking for enother oppinion. I do not see any reason why this gun would not qualify to be a ESP . Thanks http://stiguns.com/guns/marauder
racknrider
Marauder or Eagle is good to go for ESP.
v1911
Just remember that it comes with a 140mm mag. So you'll have to purchase a minimum of 3 126mm mags.
1911vm
thanks . its actually worse then that, I have to get 10 round mags on top of that.
assaultthesalt
Eagle or Marauder will be good for ESP Class ! I got the Marauder because of the light rail.
texasref
I don't think you need to purchase 10 round mags. Just load the 126mm down to 10 rounds. Same as people shooting Springfield XD's in 9mm. or any other double stack.
Jim Watson
Connecticut has magazine capacity limits. He will have to purchase 10 round magazines or plug regular ones. Given that, why not a nice single stack? I would get a Trojan, it looks like the only one with a Bomar-ish sight.
1911vm
Got one , a really nice one all set up for ESP . are you trying to stop me from spending money ?
jwayne
Would be a good choice,,,I have run a 2011 Eagle 45cp for about 8-9 years now!!! It has amazing very little recoil or muzzle flip downloaded to meet 125,000 pf in esp!!! If I had it to do over,,,might have got a 9mm------but as it is it matches the rest of my 45's and only thing I do is add a little less powder!!! I was on the verge of getting a 45 eagle for CDP, but 3gun is ruining my budget

1911vm
So I installed ice magwell on my 1911. and have been using that . and let me say that thing is awesome . I am thinking that I am going to hold of for a while, until I can shoot 1911 and 2011 side by side. and truly can compare them .

Just make sure that you shoot one with a grip reduction. That factory grip is not awesome.
v1911
1911s are great guns. But 2011s are another level. RnR is right. Once you shoot a 2011, 1911s lose a lot of their appeal. I only take out my 1911 as a novelty. My 2011s rule the roost.
1911vm
My experience with 2011 is limited to a 4.0 tactical . it was a very nice gun but I can't say that I hands down fell in love with it compare to a 1911. I have never shot a full size gun. now when I shot a SAO Cz shadow on the other hand different story. what I really need is to shoot one side by side with 1911 and or CZ.
