Booboobear
I shot my first USPSA match Nov. 4 The match director put me in Production I now have the fever and have joined USPSA. Awaiting package. I went this weekend and purchased a slightly used Glock 34 double stack with a an optical site. It's a small cue tip stick size circular rear site with a green front site. Not electric. I have read the USPSA rule book until I'm cross eyed. Can anyone guide me to which division I should start with and is my site legal? TeedOff
I shot a 34 in production for years...so you should be good to go there. It sounds like you have some sort of fiber optic front sight, which is pretty much standard in uspsa. I'm having a hard time visualizing what you are describing as the rear sight. Is it a ring that centers around the front post? Anyway, it sounds like it should be ok for prod...if the RO gives you a hassle about it just know that changing glock sights takes like 2 minutes. Have fun and be safe. Speed comes later.
Aiden
I think the USPSA books say it's "notch and post" sights only for Production. Are you describing a rear sight with a circle aperture, like a ghost ring? Or are you describing something like the FT Bullseye? Dr Mitch
You will be fine, but if you want to be accurate AND fast, put a notched rear sight on and throw the ghost ring in the trash where it belongs.

I didn't like it as I didn't have the space in between front and rear to make precise shoots. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
