TANFARM
Ordered an EGW die for my 650. Do I install and adjust this new die with the shellplate loaded with brass on all stations or empty? Is it actually supposed to come in contact with the plate or back off a little bit ?....Thanks....looking forward to trying it out for my PITA buldged 9 mm. Sarge
I put the sizer/deprimer in and adjust so it just barely touches the shell plate. It barely jostles the tool head when set. Then i adjust all other dies based off of that with shell plate full
Kraj
Empty shell plate, screw it down until it touches.
yoshidaex
Make sure you use some case lube with the EGW die.
AbitNutz
Using lube with this die does make a difference. The amount of force required to size a case is reduced considerably when you use case lube. It reduces it enough that I use case lube with it...and I'm not a fan of cleaning up case lube.... Kulaglock11
My two sense on case lube for pistol,,, I use the Dillon case lube for all my reloading, pistol and rifle. When I have a batch of loaded rounds I spread them on a towel and spray them with Rubbing Alcohol, seems to clean them up and its not bad to get on your hands !
