Colt mag catch depression difficulty

You can not depress ,with your forefinger, with a fully loaded magazine. The rifle is a factory 9mm colt. Anything I can do?

Not normal. Are you using the factory Colt (metalform) mags? Do you have the same problem when you download to 30rds?

Do you have the same problem with the upper removed?

I am using colt mags, and if the magazine has more than 20rds it becomes very difficult to not possible exponentially. There is no problem if the bolt is open or without the upper.
