STI 6inch .40 LIGHT

So I just bought a used 6 inch STI eagle with a bushing barrel. I'm really not sure what recoil spring I should be using or even what is currently in the gun. I'm shooting 175PF .40 and the slide has been lightened considerably. Any help would be appreciated.

And here I thought you were going to be asking about .40 minor loads. I was going to recommend using Titegroup behind cast lead so everyone's aware the train has arrived.

My 2 cents: I'd recommend as light as possible w/o causing damage. Use an aluminum shock buff to gauge the wear. Measure O.D. when you put it in, and O.D. after a few hundred rounds. If it starts to deform or has a significant imprint from the slide, go up 1-2 lbs and repeat.

I'm a big fan of the light spring (9 lbs) in my bull barrel 6.0, but it's uncut and has a few ounces more reciprocating mass than your gun so I've seen no signs of wear on my buff.
