zeusman
Just started loading blue bullets and I'm having jamming issues. I've loaded bayous and Missouri's in the past without issues. Loading to 1.125 oal and every so often the bullet fails to feed properly. I checked bullets in the barrell and they all drop in nicely . Changed out mag springs and recoil spring. I also crimped a little tighter to see if they would feed better... no luck. Any ideas?
GJGary
Do the drop test to see the max oal for your barrel. Start loading test samples of 20 increasing oal by .005 or .010. until you reach your max oal minus .01 or .015. Sometimes a different bullet or profile likes a longer oal. thormx538
FWIW, in my barrel, I found 200gr Blues COAL is just a hair longer than 180gr Ibejis, and a bit shorter than 185gr Precisions. Widebody RIA, 200gr Blues go to 1.150", 180gr Ibeji RN to 1.145", and 185gr Precision to 1.160" In my 10mm Glock (LWD barrel), I can load 200gr Blues to mag length (1.260") Edited October 25, 2016 by thormx538

Southpaw
What gun are you using? I was getting failures to feed with the 180gr Blues in my Glock 35 at first. I had to increase crimp significantly compared to what I've used for other bullets to fix it.
resortboarder
I've previously loaded 180gr Xtreme RN from 1.125 - 1.200 with no issues. I recently started working up a 180gr Blue Bullet load and find 1.200" sticks in the barrel and I have to load down to 1.165" to address it. zeusman
I'm running a G35 with a stock barrel. Sounds like longer is the way to go. Thanks for your help
