Cherokeewind
Is there any such thing available for .38/.357? Thanks
aandabooks
I have found in other loadings it is not so much the coating as it is the powder you're using.
Alaskapopo
Lead bullets smoke fact of life. There is more or less smoke with different powders but smoke will be there. Pat
Cherokeewind
I'm using Bullseye with Missouri Bullet Co. bullets that have blue lube. Lots of smoke; using the same powder and charge weight with plated bullets produces no noticeable smoke. I have lots of B'eye that I need to use up:) Would coated bullets be any better? I am pretty sure you answered your own question. Super fast powder with lead or coated = smoke..
Cherokeewind
I didn't get this much smoke with Beye with my own cast bullets and Alox lube but that was about 100 years ago:( ETA: not the same canister of Beye:) Edited October 23, 2016 by Cherokeewind
TDA
This is interesting as I recently used the same power and load with both Acme and Missouri coated bullets, (.40 major) and the Missouri's smoked like lubed lead while the Acme's were hardly noticeable.
