I don't think it's bright enough. But that's just me it's brighter than a fastfire 3. But not as bright as others.  The glass is surprisingly clear and a true 1x. The window is a little short top to bottom.

I had one as an offset optic on my .223 rifle.  Started blinking and couldn't shut it off. Watched a few of them die at matches this summer while they were mounted on cores and slide ride 2011 open guns.  To be fair, a lot of other dots break in that application.  They replaced mine promptly, but I would rather it not break in the first place.  It not a bad optic, I would say overall it is better than a Burris FF3.  It is not Aimpoint reliable.

I run Razor Red dots on my pistols, rifles and shotguns. The Venom dots are ok, but the Razors are very nice. Extremely bright and as durable as anything else I have tried.

I ended up getting a Leupold Delta Point pro. just want to make sure i have a dependable Dot. RTS2 died on me in the mids of the match, so disappointed.
