Ramshot competition loads

I've been using it with 147gr bullets for my Tanfos and PCC with success.  Shoots just like my N320 load, average 130pf out of the Tanfos and 140pf out of my 16" PCC.  Use 3.4g @ 1.10 OAL.  Have yet to try if for .40.

After reading all the positive reviews from a couple years ago, I bought 16 pounds of RSC when it became available (it was one of the first fast powders I could get after the shortage). It's clean and meters well, but it's proven to be inconsistent, and the reverse temperature sensitivity turned my 129 power-factor, chronoed-in-the-winter load into a gamer load on a hot afternoon.

I'm still using it, but now that I can buy VN320, thinking of using that for match ammo while burning up the RSC for practice rounds.

I'd say it works, but the stuff I got is not in the same league as 320. Maybe the formulation has been changed.

Chrono'd through a 5" M&P With an Apex match barrel in it:

135gr coated bullet - Black Bullets Interational
 3.66gr Ramshot Competition
1.079" OAL
CCI primer
75 degrees (indoor range)

952,931,949,908,962,921,911,968,903,949

935.4 Feet Per Second
126.2 Power Factor
22.66 Standard Deviation

It's smoky too, given the fact that the standard deviations keep staying damn high in all my tests... Ramshot is officially "practice and local matches only" ammunition.

Back at the range a week later with 1/10th of a grain increase in charge weight:
